Peter Barbella
Peter Barbella has over 30 years experience teaching mathematics, statistics and computer science under contract including Newman Catholic High School/Middle School in Wausau, Wisconsin; Northcentral Technical College; and Mid-State Technical College.
Peter has conducted numerous professional conference and workshop presentations under the sponsorship of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the Wisconsin Mathematics Council and the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation of Princeton, New Jersey. He was an evening instructor for Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin.
He is the co-author of Exploring Measurements published by Dale Seymour and as well as articles in Mathematics Teacher and Teaching Statistics.
In 2008, Peter worked as a consultant to the Access Academy at the Asian University for Women. There he developed assessment and curriculum for pre-undergraduate women from throughout South Asia. In the Summer of 2008, he conducted professional development seminars in mathematics teaching for Access Academy instructors on site in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Peter Barbella was twice one of three State of Wisconsin nominees for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). He was recipient of a Master Teacher Fellowship by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation.
He has been conducting private tutoring on behalf of North Central Wisconsin students since 2007. Current clients include high school students, middle school students, home-school students, college undergraduates, and adults returning to school.
